So why do I say Bloggggginngggg? Well have mercy... I can't get my stuff together. I have 2 blogs, a personal, and a photography blog. I love blogging... I've been blogging for years... but for some reason I can not get my stuff together this year. It's been since Dec. on this blog and November on my family blog. So what the hey? What's my deal? The more time goes by the harder it gets for me to start over. So, I'm going back in time for all you wonderful people who have seen your images, ordered, and have been enjoying your images for a while... I'm going to FINALLY blog your session.. and I'd love to start blogging sessions after each one. This is my goal and I'd love it to really happen... so we'll see! Beat me up if I don't ... not really! :)

With that I'm leaving you with a picture of my daughter, her cousin... and their Great Grandmother. I never had a great grandmother... that I can remember or that I have a picture with so I think this is so neat. I love that we got them all so happy together! :)

I travel far and wide with my whole family to photograph these faces and I loved every minute of it. Little H, the oldest daughter is only 4... although I doubt anyone would ever guess that. She's tall, she's smart, and she's got the cutest little personality... and accent! Baby R was quite the model and so happy even with her poor allergy eyes! :) Mom and Dad are two really cool cousins and friends. We enjoy the time we get to spend with them...about 3 times a year, give or take! Love ya'll....

This family just makes me smile. The first time I met them little A was turning 1, he's now almost 2 and has a brand new baby sister who is as adorable as he is! Do you remember this face? I'll never forget it!

Well, he's grown up quite a bit and he ran to me and hugged me EVERY time I walked in the doors of his house. He was excited to see me.. and was full of smiles, happiness, love, and personality! Oh... and he's quite the professional iphoner! Look how much he's grown now...

I have been so blessed with the seniors that I've had in the past. They've all been beautiful, outgoing, smart, and just all around great kids. These 2 girls are definitely not the exception. With more accomplishments under their belts in their short 18 years than most have in their lifetime, these 2 girls are certainly role models for those young people aspiring to do it right! :) So, not only are they both drop dead gorgeous... they are going to do great things with their lives. I love getting to meet new clients, new families, new personalities, and new faces! It's always exciting because when it comes time to shoot, you never quite know what types of dynamics a family wi;ll consist of. I was thrilled to death to see little A get out of the car in her frilly tutu, strutting her stuff, and smiling from ear to ear like she was born ready for a photo session. Then cute little L Man got out with his GQ look... and his ADORABLE "I love Mommy attitude"! And then I see sweet M, the oldest, definitely the most mature, with her great style and her sly smile! I can't tell you how excited I get when I know I get to shoot kiddos like these.. Sweet A girl and I are best buds now.... and we might just have a lasting friendship :) We met last year and not even a soccer ball and some fruit snacks would make her wanna play with me and my shenanigans. But we still got some great shots because you can't take a bad picture of a beautiful girl... and now I think when she sees me, everytime, she gets a huge grin. Those are the grins that melt your heart. :) We had not a trouble in the world with this go round. I got the pleasure of meeting beautiful Mom, and stunning daughter last year before the end of her Senior year. We went all around town shooting gorgeous pictures of her so I got to anticipate this shoot for a lot of months before we finally made it happen. Mini Sessions

Well I decided to try my hand at some mini sessions to benefit the youth group at my church. I wanted to give back using my photography as well as give Mini photo sessions a try. The thought of orchestrating 6 or more families to fill short time slots, staying on time, and on task (ha), and getting the shots I want, honestly made me want to throw up... but after having completed it with results I'm proud of I certainly think I'm ready to give it a go in 2011.... so stay tuned for Mini session dates! I wanna squeeze him and kiss him. He was so happy and so sleepy and so wonderfully content. Baby Z's was the perfect little boy model complete with a little smile in the middle of the session. He graced us all with mostly sleepy pictures but he did open that bright blue eyes a few times so he could show them off. His big sister Z was not all about sharing the spotlight... she felt like she should have had her own photographer there... just for her, and for those of you who know me, I was just the girl to do it. I called her spunky... but she's more than that. It's always special to meet people in my community, close by, and fellow Montgomerians. I'm just a small town girl, with small town values, and I like the close-knit communities that come from small towns. Montgomery isn't really the small town it appears to be... but we still call it small and can see a familiar face in the nearby shopping or dining establishment. When I get to know good people, that live and work in the community... it gives me a Mayberry feeling. And if you know me, you know that's a good feeling. (I can probably top any quiz taker about miscellaneous facts about the Andy Griffith Show). Yes, I'm a dork... because my Dad made me that way! :)

Anyway, back to the G family. This shoot was kind of cool for me. It was a glimpse into my life in about 2 years when my kids will be the ages of these precious 2. I loved their interactions... and how playful and happy they were and I hope my two will be as good of friends as these 2 appeared to be. Thank you Mom and Dad for calling on me to do what I saw was the first family shoot since little man was a baby! Long overdue... and I definitely hope you love them. Please don't wait that long again for heavensake... I don't have to tell you how fleeting our days are. Capture every moment!! :)

This little angel has got modeling qualities at the ripe young age of 6 whole months. I'm not sure I've ever seen a more content, happy, laid back baby, but I guarantee she was my easiest client all year! lol I think I just had to say her name... and up popped this amazing smile. Wardrobe change... no problem. Location change... piece of cake! Thank you G and G for sharing your family with me... and for giving me the opportunity to capture sweet A in her modeling debut! Christmas Card Designs REVISED

I am thrilled to announce that my Christmas Card prices have now dropped to an across the board 25 for $50. Regardless of what they say I've found a way to make them a little more affordable especially since my clients are so kind to their many friends and family, and are in need of lots of cards. It's great to see people, like me, who still see the value in a Christmas Card... and the fun that comes with sending and receiving them. The response to these cards has been overwhelming... and I'm SO glad about it! :)

So, I'm adding the ones that are already on the blog... again... just to have a complete collection for you to choose from. I think there are lots of different styles here to choose from. Which style speaks to you?

I had the honor and privilege of shooting a session for this family tonight. Not your average family session, but one with lots of love and a lot of personality. Grandma and Grandpa wanted their own pictures with this precious little boy... and why wouldn't they? He's got the cutest little 2 year old attitude and did I mention that he's Lightening McQueen's biggest fan. Thank you for the chance to shoot your family. I had a ball doing it, and I love that you'll have these pictures to look back at when Mr. L is grown. He'll know how special he was as a little boy to two sweet, loving grandparents. :)

An Extraordinarily beautiful Bridal...

I'm so excited to finally be able to post these images. This young lady holds a special place in my heart. We grew up near each other, although we didn't know it. We went to the same church and then ended up belonging to the same church here in Montgomery (at least her Mom and I do). I can't tell you how glad I am that God has placed her and her Momma in my path... for so many reasons. It's been a pleasure working with them so closely for the past few months. I'm almost half sad to say that it's over now. The wedding was an amazingly huge success... she was an extraordinarily beautiful Bride and her husband now is a very very lucky man!

Christmas Card Designs

Well... I'm doing things a little bit differently this year. I love the cards that I've offered in the past... and my clients have loved them as well. I'll still be offering them, but I wanted to offer the latest... and the greatest product to my clients. This is something that I pride myself on for ASH Hill Photography. We are updated, we are fresh, we are current!

So I introduce to you the best Christmas or occasion cards I've ever seen... and Yes, I have a favorite. Then you can pick your design. There's 6 of them now... but I'll be working on them and as I design, I'll post. They can also be "tweaked"...not recreated.... but custom "tweaked" for you and your likes.

All Luxe cards come in increments of 25 and are $60 for 25

Flat 5x7 cards... like the last one...are $55 for 25

Below are only examples of the 5x5 circle and the 5x7 ornate.

I will however do any of the scalloped with the following designs...

The circles can double as an ornament and Christmas card. A neat idea would be to tie a string at the top before sending. Your loved one will love being able to take it out of the envelope and place it on their tree...

Meet the O family...and Oh how I love them. Each and everyone of them. I had the lucky pleasure of meeting Mom at our last shoot and we found a love/obsession that we share...and it's called canvas. She knows what looks good, she's got fabulous style... and she's not afraid to show it! Love her, love her, love her. 3 boys belong to this family, and if you count Dad, 4. The boys are so distinct, but all so well behaved and equally adorable. And getting to meet Dad this time was a very special treat as well. I'm doing some new things with my photography and offering new stuff!! :) I did a video/image fusion during the shoot without them knowing and it was amazing how sweetly, genuinely, and happily they interacted on the video, without even knowing that it was being taped. I just love them so much....

It was the twins Dad calling me to tell me that while he waits to return to the war zone in Afghanistan....and while he waits to defend our country...and our freedom....he got to look at the pictures of the twins, and it moved him to tears. I felt like everything I'd ever wanted with my photography just suddenly arrived in my lap. I want to capture fleeting moments. But I also want to bring up beautiful thoughts, memories, and feelings with every image. I guess my mission was completed with these angel boys and I feel so blessed to have met them, been their photographer, and had the opportunity to get to know their parents. God bless them for their ENORMOUS sacrifices....and God bless these miracle boys!!!!

Sweet Sweet Baby

Look at these angel 2 week old boy. Nothing compares to the sweet smell and the sweet feel of a newborn baby. With only 2 weeks of life under his belt, he certainly behaved well for us to photograph him. I couldn't have asked for a sweeter, sleepier, happier newborn angel. Thank God for sweet babies!!!!

When I heard I was going to be doing inside pictures of sweet Olivia, I envisioned the shoot before hand, as I always do with every client. I like to decide which way the shoot is going to go. What kind of feel it's going to have and the "poses" I'm going to capture, although it's the natural state that bring about those amazing images...just like the first one below. Anyway, I envisioned Olivia in the pink tutu with pearls and what my minds eye saw...is what I got. She was truly a blessing and a cinch to photograph and I hope that I get to many many many more times. I think I want to keep her!!!

Oh my heavens...do you see these kids? As precious as 2 kids can be! I'm very familiar with the big sister/baby brother dynamic and certainly understand the 4 year old girl challenges, so getting to spend some time with these cuties, was nothing but great fun! When I was originally asked to take a picture of 16 grandkids, I shuttered a bit. 16 kids....in the same picture! God blesses us in extraordinary ways and he know that no amount of kids in a picture is too many, especially when they are as precious as these. Well, it's not hard to photograph such beautiful people. The Nabors are very down-to-earth, friendly, and fun people. This is about as hectic a shoot as they come with dogs and kids and screaming and ugh.... but after it was all said and done, I think I captured their happy personalities. These were the products of our Winter pictures at the MDO program my kids attend. We had such a ball with these, but I wanted to post The Wellmans because some of them were particularly outstanding. If I didn't know any better, I'd have thought I was taking pictures of two beautiful girls, and Alan Derossett. It turns out, Cote is a spitting image in looks and manners to his old Pa, Alan. (especially for the poor photographer) God help the other 3 women that have to deal with those two trouble makers day in and day out. LOL. What a beautiful (inside and out) group of kids. They have amazing parents, so it only stands to reason that the kids would turn out as great. This is a country kind of group.... so we countried it up!!! Fun. Fun. Fun.

This was an amazing group to photograph. They had lots of personalities mixed together and a baby who was just wanting to be asleep. We did get it together and got some really great captures of some really sweet kiddos. I loved every minute of it.

Some shoots are challenging and some are just run of the mill. If I could do a photo shoot like this one everyday, I think I would. What a precious pair they make. I just captured them without ever asking them to do a thing, and the fact that they would hug eachother and look at me the way they did without me asking them to do that just makes my heart smile. I have a feeling these kiddos are going to be in our lives for many many years to come!!! :)

I got 3 of the 4 boys. They are all so different, yet so similar. I took them out one by one and talked to them, mostly about their girlfriends. The first grader, Jace, said that he could date when he gets to the fifth grade and he's going to take her to the movies. The funny part was I thought he said Luby's. He always did have a taste for the practical. The fifth grader, Jaxen, was as proud as could be of his scar and wouldn't hear of me photoshoping it. These are some really great, well behaved young men who I adore seeing grow up.... What a journey....

This little girl is as precious and as sweet as she can be. My favorite thing about her, and there are many, is that when Swiper comes on during Dora she runs up close to me for comfort. I think that is so precious and so innocent and it makes me smile. She's got a lot of energy and a lot of spirit. We like that kind around our house! :) I just love taking her picture!

Of course the most difficult, but the most rewarding photo shoots are of my own kiddos. They are Addison and Aiden. Aiden likes to cooperate, he's a baby.... Addison likes to make everything difficult. She's a bright almost 4 year old who has her own way of doing things....but I wouldn't change a single solitary thing about either one of them. They are my life and my love.
